Michael L. Masciantonio, age 72, of Claymont, DE, formerly of Glenolden, PA, died August 20, 2025, at home.

Michael was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, he enjoyed reading, cooking, music and was always ready to party.  Michael was a proud Pop-Pop of six grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.  He attended Grove City College, and graduated from Temple University and Neumann University.  Michael worked at Family Fun Spot in Aston, PA from 1984 until 1987 and for ABF Freight until his retirement.  He was a member of Glenolden Gents, Glenolden Griffins and Ball Hockey Hall of Fame.  He was also a member of Del Val Street Hockey League, and American Street Hockey Institute.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael.

Michael is survived by his wife of 48 years, Alice; his son, Zach Masciantonio (Laura), of Wilmington, DE; his daughter, Elizabeth Tunell (Jeffrey), of Newark, DE; his grandchildren, Lily, Emma, Zachary, Palmer, Madison and Michaela; his sister, Marcy Paschall, and many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 10:00am until 11:30am, where a memorial service will begin at 11:30am.  Burial will be private.

In honor of Michael being an avid Philadelphia sports fan, please feel free to wear your Philadelphia sports attire.
