Pamela Stevens Chieffo, age 59, passed peacefully on December 4, 2024 at her cherished home in Arden, Delaware. Born March 14, 1965 in Elyria, Ohio, Pamela was the beloved daughter of Helen Tabor Potter and late Paul Stevens.
Pamela was the devoted wife of Joseph Chieffo, her soulmate and partner in life for 39 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and treasured memories while raising their three children, Kristin Chieffo (38) Nicholas Chieffo (37) and Paul Chieffo (28) in Claymont, Delaware.
Known for her boundless kindness, radiant smile, and unwavering determination, Pamela brought light and warmth to everyone she encountered. She faced life’s challenges with courage and a deep faith that inspired those around her to cherish every moment.
Pamela had a profound love for nature, finding joy in the vibrant dance of hummingbirds at her tended feeders she collected. Her creative spirit shone through her intricate diamond dot artwork, which she lovingly crafted at her kitchen table and gifted to family and friends.
Pamela was not only a mother to her three children but also to all the neighborhood kids, lovingly known as her “little Claymonsters” she welcomed everyone with open arms, creating a home filled with laughter, support and love.
Her greatest pride and joy was her granddaughter, Julianna Wardius, Her shining light. Pamela’s family was her world, and her beloved dog Lucy was a constant Companion who added joy to her life.
Pamela is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph; her three children, Kristin, Nicholas and Paul; her treasured granddaughter, Julianna (Julianna’s father Dave Wardius); her mother, Helen Tabor Potter (Cecil Potter, deceased); her siblings, Mike Stevens, Patty Mccullen (Mike Mccullen), Kim Weathers (Mike Weathers, Deceased) and Greg Stevens (Amy Stevens). She is also deeply cherished by her extended family including her mother-in-law who loved her as her own, Jean Chieffo (Nicholas Chieffo, Deceased), and her sisters-in-law, Linda Booth (Gerald Booth), Joan Pepper (Dave Pepper) and Nicole Chieffo-Jennings (Mike Jennings). She is now reunited in heaven with her father, Paul Stevens.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 from 11am to 12pm at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where Pamela’s life will be celebrated with a Memorial Service at 12pm. Burial will be private. In honor of her memory, may we all be inspired to live with love, and gratitude for life’s blessings.
