Our Mom, Phyllis R. “Betty” Kanich , left us on July 29, 2023.
Betty was born 93 years ago in Cleveland, Ohio to David C. Routzon, Sr. and Phyllis A. (Jones) Routzon. Mom spent the last 2+ years at Sunrise of Wilmington. She previously lived in Claymont, DE for 59 years. Mom enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles and especially playing Bingo!
She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Joseph T. Kanich, her son, Andrew Kanich, and her daughter-in-law, Carla Kanich. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Nemeth (David), of Claymont, DE; sons, Michael Kanich, Joseph D. Kanich (Chystiann), also of Claymont, DE; her brother, David C. Routzon, Jr. (Jill) of North Richland Hills, TX; her granddaughter, Sheena Kanich of New Castle, DE; her grandsons, Joseph T. Kanich (Leah) of Hockessin, DE, Michael Kelleher (Jessica) of Ocoee, FL; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:30 am at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE, 19808.
