Robert Lee Jones

Robert Lee Jones, age 63, passed away suddenly on April 25, 2021 at his home in New Castle, DE.

He was the son of the late Harvey (Vernon) Jones and Margaret Watson Jones.

Bob grew up in New Castle and was a graduate of Delcastle Technical High School.  He held an Associates Degree in Industrial Engineering from Delaware Technical and Community College and attended Wilmington College.    He was employed at Boeing Helicopters and for many years at Delmarva Power Plant.  Most recently, he was employed at Delaware Express. 

He is survived by his loving aunt, Dorothy Geiger and cousin, Marion Campbell of Sayre, PA.  He held a special place in his heart for Marion’s family, Scott and Brenda Campbell and Joseph, Jay and Emily Campbell.

Bob was a loyal and kind man and a gentle soul always willing to help those in need.  He loved to attend stock car races and to travel whenever he could. He will be missed by his lifelong friends, Mike Williams and Jack Mansure and good friends and neighbors, Carol Hickman, Dan Plumley and Mike Dorph.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family.
