Rose M. Strab

Rose Strab, age 42, of Wilmington, DE, passed peacefully at her home on Wednesday January 13, 2021.

Rose was born August 21, 1978 in Claymont, DE to John and Mary Eachus. After spending a portion of her childhood in Houston, Texas, she returned to Delaware for the remainder of her time. She graduated from Mt Pleasant High School in 1996, and later earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Wilmington University. She worked various positions in the realm of social services, most recently for the last several years as a private mental health therapist.

Rose will be remembered for her tireless commitment to helping those around her. She dedicated her personal and professional life to helping others, especially children and families suffering trauma and mental health challenges. Rose had a singular focus and a strong will to speak up for those who were unable to do so for themselves.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Sofia Strab; husband, Christopher Smith; ex-husband, Robert Strab; parents, John and Mary Eachus; brother, Michael Eachus; as well as countless more family, friends and other lives she has touched and changed for the better.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private memorial service will be held privately with the family.
