Tessie Anne Wolski, of Newport News, Virginia, formerly of Claymont, Delaware, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the age of 93.

After High School, Tessie worked for the Scott Paper Company and later worked in retail at Wilmington Dry Goods, eventually becoming head cashier.

Tessie was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harry Wolski, sons, Gregory, Jeffrey, and Christopher, daughter, Tina Petrowsky, great grandson, Shaun O’Brien, and grandson, Peter Wolski.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Wolski O’Brien and her husband Joseph of Newport News, VA, son, Michael and his companion, Jill Garzia of Wilmington, DE; grandsons, Joseph O’Brien III, Scott O’Brien, Brandon Wolski, C.J. Wolski; granddaughters, Jessica and Taylor Wolski, Tiffany Petrowsky, Amber Wolski, Ashley Wolski; along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 between 7pm and 9pm at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, Delaware 19703.  Service and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
