Victor Fantini, age 92, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2021. Victor was born in Claymont, DE to the late Felice and Filomena Fantini.
Victor was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He attended all three churches. He was an altar boy at the first church. Victor married the love of his life, Joann Anderson of Grasonville, MD in the second church in 1959. He will have his final mass at the third church.
Victor was a proud 1946 graduate of Claymont High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for 67 years as a business machine technician with Royal Typewriter Co. and Accurate Business Machines.
Victor loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted Dad and Pop-Pop. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, music, reading and watching the Phillies.
Victor was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Joann Fantini, and his sister, Mary F. Hudson. He is survived by his son, Victor F. Fantini, his wife Molly and their children, Cassandra, Cecilia and Sophia of Newark, DE; his daughter, Maria Colpo and her husband Dean of Clayton, DE; and his brother, George Fantini of Hockessin. DE.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private viewing will be held at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, followed by a private Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
