My condolences for the loss of Victor. He was a good husband, good father, and a great grandfather. He was an honest person like his father Felix. Be proud of him.

Victor, nine years my senior, was a gentleman in the finest sense who was one of my role models growing up in Claymont.   My  late mother and I  have been eternally grateful and much in debt to the Fantini family, including Victor's mother, father, and brother for all the many things they did for us over the years.  May God bless them all.

To the Fantini family, I send my deepest condolences. I worked with Vic at Accurate Office Machine Co. back in the early 1980's when I was in my teens into my early 20's. Vic, along with the other great guys who worked there took me in as a young person who showed an interest in typewriter repairs and taught me so many things about mechanical troubleshooting and all the inter-workings of the business that came to bring me much success in life. Vic, in particular was a great man, and a great mentor to me, and helped me find my way into a lifelong career that then extended into computer maintenance, and into a career at the University of Delaware that continues to this day. When I left Accurate, it was Victor who sat me down, and even though various people at the helm were upset that I was leaving and knew I was conflicted about it. He told me I had a great opportunity to move on, and to do it and not worry about what anybody else thought about it. I took his advice, and to this day, I have never forgotten that he took the time to help me think thru things. Upon leaving, Vic, Dick Tunis, and Anthony VanVeen took me out to lunch, gave me many words of confidence, and then Victor handed me a present. He gave me a tie-tack of a typewriter that he had received from Royal Typewriter at some point during his career. A very simple token of friendship and meaning to me. This was 1984, and I was 21 years old at the time. I still keep that tie tack in my possession and have worn it to the funerals of Dick Tunis and Anthony VanVeen. I'm sorry I can't wear it to Vic's because of our current circumstances, but I want the family to know how much Vic meant to me and I will think of him every time I wear it, because I still wear it proudly today. I can say he meant much to me early in life, and was very proud of his family, He was a good man and I try to carry on the lessons he taught me when I'm working with young people in my career now. I'm glad he lived a good long life, because he deserved it!
