Vincent A. DiSantis, of Holly Oak, DE passed away after a short illness on November 21, 2023.
Known by many as both Jimmy and Vinnie, he was born to Ernest and Aida (D’Alberto) DiSantis in July 1943. He worked as an automotive detailer for Gambacorta Motors. He had resided in Ocean City, MD with his longtime companion, Alice Forsythe, returning to the Holly Oak/Claymont area after her death. He enjoyed visiting local establishments and especially having a good time with the countless friends he made at Bar XIII.
Although Vincent faced many challenges, his kind nature, exuberance and big smile was a constant reminder to us all that appreciating the simplicities of life and spending time with family and friends was the best way to overcome anything.
In addition to his parents and Alice, Vincent was predeceased by his brother, Joseph and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his sister, Louise DiSantis, numerous cousins and his beloved cat, Anthony.
A Viewing will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 10:00am until 11:00am, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703.
