Virginia L. “Ginny” (Queensberry) Knott, age 93, of Claymont, DE, died on May 17, 2025 at Asbury Ivy Gables.

Ginny was born in 1932 in Newport News, VA, to the late Roland Lee Queensberry and Virginia Lee (Mailander) Queensberry.

Ginny was the widow of Norman W. “Buzz” Knott, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2011.

After graduating high school, Ginny became a homemaker and dedicated her time to raising her children. A woman of strong Christian faith, Ginny also taught Sunday School for several years. In addition to spending time with her family and supporting their various activities, Ginny enjoyed bowling with her 11 pound bowling ball and playing Bingo.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ginny is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Ann Knight, her son, Charles Norman Knott, Sr., her daughter-in-law, Deborah Ann (Cadwallader) Knott, her brother, Roland “Duke” Queensberry, and her sister, Kathleen “Katie” Grant.

Ginny is survived by her grandchildren, Erin Knight, Charles Knott, Jr. (Gillian), Andrew Knight, Justin Knott (Audrey), and Tyler Knott; her great-grandchildren, Daniel and Harper; and many other loving family members and friends.

A Viewing will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 from 11am to 12pm at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where a Funeral Service will begin at 12pm. Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
