William E. Dolson “Reds,” of Claymont, Delaware, passed away January 18, 2025, at the age of 86.

He started his vocation as a diesel mechanic and later dedicated his career to truck driving with Contractual Carrier’s until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of the Rod and Gun Club and a lifetime member of the New Castle Terrace Club.

Reds was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy Marie Johnson Dolson; six children, Andy Dolson (Brittany), Mark Johnson, Brenda Byrne (John), Vicki Carter, Judi Morrison, Bill Dolson (Karen), ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, Charles Dolson III (Candy), sister Beverly Troiani, one niece and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Dolson II and Eleanor Dolson.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 12pm to 3pm at the Knights of Columbus, 135 Princeton Avenue, Claymont, DE 19703.
