William John “Bill” Wyatt, age 62, passed away in his home on Wednesday May 13, 2020.
Bill was born August 15, 1957 in Wilmington, Delaware. He was a true Delawarean and enjoyed long walks and riding his bike through the city. He loved talking about his life and telling stories about his childhood. He enjoyed feeding animals in the park, watching cowboy movies and fishing. Bill called his family every day to say, “good morning” and to make sure everyone was doing ok. He worked as a maintenance technician for Arbor Management for many years, which fit his personality perfectly because he loved helping anyone he could.
Bill was preceded in death by his father John, his mother Joan and his brother, Jesse. He is survived by the love of his life of 30 years, Lynda Dikeman; his daughter, Christine Morris; stepdaughter, Angela Dikeman; granddaughter, Danielle Gomez; brothers, Norwood and John; sisters, Helen, Darlene, Loreen and Jeanette; and many other friends and family.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude and appreciation to Bill’s neighbors who checked in on him every day and brought him coffee every morning. He spoke of you all so kindly and words cannot express how much it meant to him to know so many people cared for him.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, services will be postponed until the family can gather to say their final goodbyes.
