A viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, PA. Lunch follows nearby. We request donations to Alzheimer’s Association in Lieu of flowers.
As a child with six siblings in Wilmington, as a wife and mother of seven children in Claymont, and as a senior nearby, Helen flowed with love, patience, kindness, goodness, and devotion. She cooked, cleaned, served, helped, listened, counseled, prayed, and sang—for the Lord, family, friends, and others. She was dedicated to helping people and helping bring out the best in them, especially in and through the church.
We thank God for Helen and commit her to Him. We do so with temporary heavy grief for our loss here on earth, but also with permanent stronger joy for her eternal joyful life with the Lord. In 1948, as a newlywed, Helen recorded “You Are My Sunshine” for her new husband, Frank, Now as a new bride of Christ, she sings more joyfully than ever with many others to Jesus, our eternal Son-shine, to Father God, and to the Holy Spirit. With their comfort, we join the worship from earth now, and later, when the Lord calls us Home, together again with Helen.
