Alfred M. Subach, Sr.

Alfred M.  Subach, Sr.  age 85, of New Castle, DE passed away at his home surrounded by family on Sunday, June 21, 2020.  

Al was born in Shenandoah, PA on September 11, 1934, son of Adolf and Genevieve “Jennie” Subach.  He retired from Delmarva Power and Light in 1994, after 36 years.   Since then, he has loved traveling to Florida and Las Vegas, playing Bingo at Millcreek Firehouse and cards with longtime friends Bill and Norma Harrison.   

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his brother, Albert and his sisters, Alberta and Marge.  He will be sadly missed by his wife, Joyce of 62 years, and his children, Janice Carroll,   Cathy “Kitt” Lopez (Danny), Alfred Subach, Jr (Rita) and Robert Subach.  He will also be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Loretta Sporay and Dee Horney, brother Kayo Subach and his army of 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  His sense of humor will be missed by all.  

Service and burial will be private.
