Obituary
Beatrice B. Carpenter, age 94, of Wilmington, Delaware left this world to be with the Lord in Heaven on April 30, 2023, in Cape Coral, Florida.
Bea was born and raised in Claymont, Delaware and spent her life in the area. Bea graduated from Claymont High School in 1948, married William Carpenter on November 18, 1950 and was a devoted wife and mother.
Bea enjoyed traveling and spending summer vacations with her family at the beach in Lewes, Delaware. During her senior years, Bea enjoyed swim aerobics and going to lunch with the friends she made there.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Carpenter, her two sisters, Dorothy and Florence and her parents, Curtis and Agnes Burke.
She is survived by and was the devoted mother of two sons, William T. Carpenter and Curtis Carpenter (Beverly); and a daughter, Karen Kupchinski (Joe). She loved her four grandchildren, Chrissy (Mike), Ryan, Erich (Cayla), and Rebecca.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 10am to 11am at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, Delaware 19703, where a funeral service will begin at 11am. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 W. Ridge Road, Linwood, PA 19061.
