Charlotte McLeod Obituary

Charlotte May McLeod, age 81, of Claymont, DE, formerly of Ardentown passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 8, 2018.

For those who knew and loved Charlotte, she was known as “Chuck” or “Mom Mom”.  In 1954, she married Donald McLeod and shortly thereafter started her wonderful family.  

Throughout her life, she wore many hats, while raising her children and supporting her husband’s military career. Charlotte could always make her presence known by her colorful personality and infectious laughter.

She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Donald R. McLeod, Sr.; her father, William T. Trump; and her mother, Emma I. Campbell; along with her two siblings, Thomas W. Trump and Eleanora Wagner.

Charlotte is survived by her two sisters, Barbara Hawes and Margaret Ellison; her son, Donald R., Jr. (Diane); her daughter, Tina M. Boracki (Robert); her two grandchildren, Dr. James W. Hull, Jr. (Molly) and Emma J. Hull; her great grandchild, Benjamin; her many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont DE 19703. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11 am at the funeral home followed by the Committal Service at 1 pm at the Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE 19701.
