Constance Hope Clift Beeman, age 80, of the city of New Castle, DE, passed away after a long brave battle with dementia on October 27, 2019.  She was surrounded by her loving family when she passed from this life into the arms of her beloved husband, the Rev. Maurice William Beeman.  She will also be joyfully reunited with her cherished grandson, Brian William Stetser.

Connie was born in Bethlehem, PA on November 11, 1938 to the late Clarence Clift and Verna (Sauerwein) Clift.  Throughout her early years, Connie developed her trust in God and her love in Jesus, no matter the circumstance.  She shared her faith to anyone who would listen.  This served her well while being a pastor’s wife for 45 years.  She loved playing the piano during church services and always brought her unique warmth and charm to all.  During his last sermon for the Salem Wesleyan Church, Rev. Beeman described her as “a wonderful wife, the joy of my life, and everything a husband could want.”

The most important roles that Connie held and treasured were the traditional roles of wife, mother, mom-mom and friend.  She was deeply devoted to meeting the needs of her family and had a precious relationship with her son, Billy who needed her most.  She enjoyed playing games with her children and grandchildren and loved being silly.

She will be deeply missed by those who survive her, children, Penny Stetser and her husband, Al, Maurice W. Beeman Jr., Robert Beeman and his wife, Lisa, Sharon Robinson and her husband, Dave; and her grandchildren, Freddie Stetser and his wife, Ashley, Brenda Gray and her husband,  Larry, Erika, Morgan and Luke Robinson, and Mitchell Beeman; and sister-in-law, Joanne LaTart and husband, Alan.  She will also be missed by great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family of Connie on Monday evening, November 4, 2019 between 6 - 8pm at The Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware Street, New Castle, DE 19720.  A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday morning, November 5, 2019 at 11 am at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.
