Edward Edwards III

Edward Edwards III, age 62, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at his home.                                                 

Eddie attended Bush School and graduated in 1979.  He worked at his favorite jobs helping in the kitchen at the University of Delaware, working at McDonald’s and his time at Elwyn.  He also enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics swimming and bowling, where he received many gold medals. 

Eddie was an energetic, fun, caring son, brother and uncle. When you met him you knew he wanted to love and care for you. Eddie touched everyone he met and will be sadly missed.

Eddie is predeceased by his mother, Jacqueline Thor (David); brother, Tommy; Gram and Pop Edwards; Mom Mom and Pop Pop Luckanish.  He leaves behind his father, Ed Edwards; stepmother, Moyna Luckanish Edwards; sister, Marilynn; brothers, Mark, Brian (Lauren) and Ted; extended family, Lori and Debbie; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.                                                       

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 11am to 12noon at Holly Oak Calvary United Methodist Church, 1511 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809, where a Funeral Service will begin at 12noon.  Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
