Edward F. Robinson, Sr. Obituary

Edward F. Robinson, Sr., age 86, of New Castle, DE passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Christiana Hospital Seasons Hospice.

Edward was a supervisor for 18 years with New Castle County. He served in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1952. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge on Rt. 13, the Terrace Athletic Club and St. Gabes. Edward enjoyed his time at the TAC and St. Gabes with Dale. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edward is predeceased by his father, Edgar Robinson. He is survived by his children, Ella Robinson (Don), Joanne Navin (Carlton), Edward Robinson, Jr., Dorothy Lowry (Dale), Thomas Robinson (Diana); 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; his brother, Billy Robinson (Mary); and his Ford F-150, known as “Big Red”.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM at GEBHART FUNERAL HOME, 531 Delaware Street, New Castle, DE 19720. A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, DE 19805.
