Emile J. Le Moigne

Emile Joseph Le Moigne, a long-time resident of Claymont, Delaware, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026. He was 93 years old. He leaves behind his beloved and devoted daughter Jessica Thomee (husband Edward Fernandez), daughter in law Amy Milne, and cherished grandchildren Ethan Licata, Avery Licata, and Gavin Le Moigne.

Emile was born in Hackensack, New Jersey in 1933, to the late Jean Francois Le Moigne and Anna Gargam. Much of Emile’s youth was spent in Bound Brook, New Jersey where he attended the public schools. Emile enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean war and was honorably discharged in 1955. He was proud of his military service and participated in the Veterans Administration until the time of his death. Emile graduated Rutgers University with a bachelor of science degree, with help from the GI bill.

Emile was an entrepreneur for most of his professional career. He founded and operated a heating and cooling business in Middlesex, New Jersey. Subsequently Emile founded and operated a roofing and siding business in Bound Brook, New Jersey. He finished his career working for Allied Building Products, before moving to Lakeland, Florida. He eventually relocated to Claymont, Delaware where he continued to live a comfortable and happy retirement.

Emile’s family lovingly remembers him as a generous compassionate man, with a great intellect and a fierce spirit for life. A devoted father and grandfather, he will be deeply missed; and the family takes great comfort knowing he is at peace. A funeral mass will be arranged at Saint Brigid Roman Catholic Church in Peapack, New Jersey to honor his life and spirit at a later date.
