James R. Pyle

James R. Pyle, age 85, of Claymont, DE passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

He was born and raised and spent his entire life in Claymont with the exception of his time in the Army. After serving in the United States Army, Jim worked his entire 35-year career at the Wilmington Suburban Water Company and enjoyed 25 years of retirement.

Remember Jim as the fun-loving man who lived his life on his terms for 85 years: Growing up on 4th Street, “climbing” the water tower, working at Sunoco Gas Station, rides around Northridge in the back of his pick-up truck, hanging out under the tree with a beer on summer evenings, Tinker, hunting, fishing, boating, water skiing, Rehoboth Beach, Christmas Lights, dog treats, and most notably, his home-grown tomatoes.

Service and burial will be private.
