James S. Pokoy

James S.  “Jimmy” Pokoy, age 64, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away November 17, 2024 at Chester County Hospital.

Jimmy graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1978. He worked for Brandywine School District for 23 years and retired as a Chief Custodian. Jimmy had extensive experience in building maintenance and general contracting. He was a member of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), AFL-CIO.

He was preceded in death by his father, James B. Pokoy. He is survived by his mother, Barbara, wife, Diane, siblings, Adrienne and Andrew (Jean), sons, Nigel and Nicholas, and stepchildren Michele and Jonathon.
