Kalvin McRae Obituary

Kalvin McRae, the son of the late Carolyn McRae and the late Sindie Revelle, was born in 1972. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

At an early age, Kalvin was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease; however, that didn’t stop him from achieving many life accomplishments.

Kalvin received his early education from the Elizabeth New Jersey Public School System and graduated from Burlington County Institute of Technology where he received his diploma.

In 1997, Kalvin’s life changed forever. He became a proud father of a beautiful baby girl, whom he named Kaltaisha. Spending his young adult life in New Jersey, in 2009 he and his daughter Kaltaisha relocated to Wilmington, Delaware. The relocation brought many opportunities to Kalvin, with one in particular being when he received a new kidney, which gave him a new start in life.

In 2012, Kalvin received his CDL Class A License and began his driving career. Kalvin was a driver for US Express and, at the time of his passing, Kalvin was the proud owner of his own business, KJM Trans, LLC, for over five years.

Kalvin enjoyed life and truly loved his family. He loved working on and building model cars, watching any TV shows that had to do with remodeling or racing cars, and most of all loved watching sports, especially those Miami Dolphins.

Kalvin loved spending time with his family and his girlfriend, Nakia, and her family (I know his big sister Idell was smiling down on that relationship). Every weekend he looked forward to family gatherings where they would play cards, eat, and have a good ‘ole time.

Kalvin enjoyed the outdoors. He would often ride his bike and loved going to the park.

Kalvin was loving, kind, and he didn’t hold back on telling anyone how he felt. He would tell you off in one breath, then turn around in the very next breath and ask if you needed help.

Kalvin was a very gentle man. He was a single father for 27 years and will surely be missed.

Kalvin was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Idell McRae-Morris; brother: Christian Lee McRae; and nephews: Akhil Butler, Maurice McGowan, and Andton McRae.

Kalvin leaves to cherish his memories his beautiful and loving daughter: Kaltaisha McRae; loving girlfriend: Nakia Bowman; loving brother: Kieth McRae; nieces and nephews: Adella Keisha Butler-Greem (Ronell), Terri McRae, Katrina McGowan, Maurice, Tianah, Marquis, Imani, Samaiyah, Aniyah, Tahani, and Lyndon; his second mom: Pinky Bruton (Urma); and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Rest well Love. You will be missed by all who knew and loved you.
