Kenneth Charles Weaver, Sr., age 66, of Wilmington, DE departed life Wednesday, December 2, 2020.

Ken Graduated from De La Warr High School and went on to trade school for licensing in but not limited to plumbing, heating/cooling, refrigeration and electrical. He also went on to obtain his Masters license in Mechanical Engineering.

Ken began using his engineering mind and working with his hands as a youth working with his dad repairing appliances. After obtaining his trade licenses he worked with Gilpin Heating and Air conditioning, Service Unlimited Inc. and Barry Refrigeration before starting his company K. C. Weaver & Sons in 1995.

Ken was a highly decorated and very active member of the Masonic Organization.

Very Eminent Sir Knight Kenneth C. Weaver Sr. laid down his working tools December 2nd 2020. Ken’s contributions to the Craft were so vast they are immeasurable.

Bro. Weaver was born November 9, 1954 and was initiated in Ionic Lodge #31 October 13, 2010; passed January 19, 2011, and raised a Master Mason on March 19, 2011. Earned the Ionic Distinguished Service Award in 2015 for all his contributions to the Fraternity as a whole.

Brother Ken became a dual member of Unity Lodge #32 where he went on to become Worshipful Master in 2019 to the present. 

Brother Ken was the sitting President of the Newport Masonic Hall Company. Where he was proud to say he made a huge difference in the building and Fraternity. Ken remodeled the entire banquet room adding ADA Compliant bathrooms and renovated hall room.

He was Exalted in Delta Chapter #6 where he also served as High Priest in 2017 currently serving as the Grand Principal Sojourner of the Grand Royal Arch Masons of Delaware

He was Greeted in Gunning Bedford council #1 where he currently served as Principal Conductor of the work. Received the Cryptic Mason of the year award in 2015

He was Knighted in St. John’s Commandery #1 where he also served as Eminent Commander in 2016. He was currently the Deputy Grand Commander of the Knights Templar of Delaware. Received the distinguished honor of earning the KTCH (Knight Templar Court of Honor) award. The highest award a Sir Knight can receive. 

He received his 32° in the Scottish Rite Valley of Wilmington. He also received the M.S.A. (Meritorious Service Award) in 2019. Serving as the Head of the Knights of Saint Andrew (KSA) in 2018. He was currently the Senior Warden of the Lodge of Perfection.

His other memberships include:  Keystone Council #113 Allied Masonic Degrees- currently serving as Sovereign Master in 2020 Two-by-Two Lodge #15 Royal Ark Mariners Delaware Council #18 Knight Masons where he was serving as Priest First State York Rite College #45

Ken assisted every year in the planning of the York Rite Annual Grand Sessions.

Ken is survived by his wife, Jennifer A. Weaver; brothers, Jack Weaver, Jr. and Jeff Weaver; sisters, Cathy Weaver-Drennon and Kimberly Weaver-Williams; sons, Shannon Comegys, Sean Downs, Kenneth Weaver, Jr. and Fred Palmer; daughters, Carrie Weaver-Nelson, Jennie Palmer and Kristina Weaver. As well as a legacy of grand and great grandchildren, Tiana Comegys, Kayla Comegys, Aiden Comegys, Roan Comegys, Deja Scott, Hannah Long, Cali Nelson, Ariana (Downs)Reyes, Sean Downs, Jr., Sierra Downs, Christopher Wilson, Sebastian Weaver, Nicholas Weaver, Lily Palmer, Jason Sutton, Jenna Sutton, Hailee Sutton and (greatgrand) Mason Downs, Brooke Downs, Emmalye Downs. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Jack Weaver, Sr.; his mother, Jean Poore; and his son, Nicholas Thomas Weaver.

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, Donations to The Royal Arch Chapter that Ken belonged to can be made at Delta Chapter#6, 112 E. Market St., Newport, Delaware 19804.
