Lisa Ann Reed Obituary

Lisa Ann Reed, age 59, of New Castle, DE departed this life and went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2021.

Lisa graduated from William Penn High School in 1980 and went directly into the United States Air Force, where she became a phlebotomist on the base.  She then became an optometrist for Lens Crafters and later worked at Winterthur Museum and retired in 2003.

Lisa loved studying the unknown and was an avid horror movie fan.  She loved spending time with her two cats, Fiffer and Midnight.  Lisa was a motherly woman who cared for as many people as she could.

Lisa is preceded in death by her mother, Ethel D. (Wegrzynowski) Reed, her father, Melvin C. Reed and by her grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Lisa is survived by her daughter, Fallon Berg; her boyfriend, Shane P. Berg; her brother, Samuel Reed II; her nephew, Samuel Reed III; and her niece, Sereana Reed.

A visitation will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 521 Harmony Street, New Castle, DE 19720 on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 10:00am until 11:00am, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am.  All attending will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.  Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
