Mary C. Campion

Mary C. Campion, age 95, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Roxborough, PA passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018.  

She was a proud graduate from Girls High School of Philadelphia. She retired from The Budd Company in 1986. 

Mary volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader, she was active in the PTA, she was Pink Lady volunteer at the Roxborough Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed working with Meals on Wheels.  

She loved spending summers at Elk View Shores on the Elk River, Crystal Beach Manor on the Chesapeake Bay, and West Wildwood, NJ. Mary will be dearly missed by her family who enjoyed receiving handmade knitted or crocheted blankets, sweaters, and hats. Her favorite past time in later years was walking and relaxing with friends while reminiscing.      

Mary was predeceased by her husband Aloysius "Bud" Joseph Campion, her parents Martha J. and Elwood J. Cooper, her sister Isabelle C. Price and brother Corp. Elwood J. Cooper.

She is survived by her two daughters Lorraine Rowe (Ed) of Earleville, MD., and Karen Papa (Lou) of Wilmington, NC., along with four grandchildren, Franklin Edward “Ted” Rowe, III (Jennifer) of Wilmington, DE., Nicholas Campion Rowe (Lindsay) of Wilmington, DE., Alan Joseph Papa of Baltimore, MD., and Alicia Papa Rheel (Michael) of Wilmington, NC., 7 great grandchildren Elizabeth C. Rowe, Franklin “Frankie” E. Rowe IV., Joshua C. Rowe, Dominic E. Rowe, Dean J. Papa, A.J. Rheel, and Ryan M. Rheel, along with her brother George A. Cooper of Ridley Park, PA., nieces and nephews.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10 am at Forwood Manor, 1912 Marsh Road, Wilmington, DE 19810. Burial Service will be private.
