Mary A. Layton

Mary Anna Layton, age 78 of Chesapeake, VA, previously from Claymont, DE, passed away September 15, 2023.

Born to Mario Cucco and Mary A. Clark Cucco in Chester, PA, Mary graduated from Claymont High School and Trippon School of Fashion Design, Hollywood, CA. She was a fantastic designer and crafter. Mary's greatest joy was sewing and spending time with her pets.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gail F. Layton, brothers, Mario, Luigi, Albert, Robert; and nephews, Michael and Thomas.

Mary is survived by nieces, Donna Cucco Canady, Lorrie Cucco-Taylor, Mary Theresa Young, Castina Watkins, Kristin P. Rehberg, Michelle N. Cucco; and nephews, Robert R. Cucco and Kevin B. Canady.

Burial will be private.
