Robert V. Henning

Robert V. Henning, age 82, of Claymont, DE, formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 14, 2024.

Robert is predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Regina M. Henning and his son, Robert F. Henning. He is survived by his sons, Michael and James (Valerie), granddaughters, Jade and Margaret, great-grandson, Brayden and beloved nieces and nephews.

Robert is a graduate of Bishop Neumann High School Class of 1960. Robert proudly served as a member of the United States Army. He worked at PNSY for 30 years as an O2 Shop Crane Maintenance Electrician. He was a well-known and well-loved resident of the Grays Ferry neighborhood in Philadelphia, PA. Robert coached St. Gabriel’s youth football and Grays Ferry youth baseball. Robert enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Holiday Haven Campground, walking Coco and having chats with seasonals.

A Viewing begins at 10 am on Saturday, April 20, 2024, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703.  Burial will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
