Steve Erwin Chavarria

Steve Erwin Chavarria, age 24, of Miami, FL, went to be with his Creator in Heaven on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania.

Steve was the eldest of his siblings, Stewart and Stacy, and was born and raised in Miami, FL by his parents, Plinio and Lorena Chavarria.  At the age of 17, after graduating from Ronald Reagan Senior High School, he proudly joined the U.S. Navy and went on to serve until the age of 24.  During that time, he had the blessing of marrying his beautiful wife, Jennifer Balk.  He was assigned to the USS Carl Vinson, where he served along his fellow shipmates in the reactor department- RPO5.  After being honorably discharged in 2016, he went to work for Chalmers & Kubeck in Pennsylvania as a Value Maintenance Technician.

Steve will be dearly missed by his wife, Jennifer Chavarria; his mother, Anna Lorena Chavarria; his father, Plinio Chavarria; his siblings, Stacy and Stewart Chavarria; and his grandparents, aunts, uncles, extended family, cousins, friends and Navy brothers.

A Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 4th 2017 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Vista Funeral Home, 14200 N.W. 57th Avenue, Miami Lakes, FL 33014, where  a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 5th 2017 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a private burial in South Florida VA National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
